Jamalco is our bauxite mining and alumina refinery operation in Jamaica. Century Aluminum holds 55% interest in Jamalco, a joint venture with Clarendon Alumina Production Limited, which holds the remaining 45%.

From Bauxite to Alumina
Jamalco’s strategic location allows us to efficiently serve the Atlantic alumina market while supplying our operations with a critical upstream raw material. Alumina from Jamalco can be found in products made with Natur-Al™, a low-carbon aluminum made exclusively by our smelter in Grundartangi, Iceland.
